5 tips for a more efficient working day in coworking and in the office

Productivity is the heart and soul of business. The environment in which you work and in which you spend a significant part of the day can also affect the level of productivity. That's why we bring you five tips on how to optimize your workspace to lead to higher performance.

Take short walks

The best way to stay focused throughout a long work day is to take a few short breaks and change your work environment. In coworking, you can change the working environment quickly. Swap the office for a place in the common lounge for a while, conduct a work call in a phone booth, reserve the farthest meeting room for a work meeting and observe a regular drinking regime by walking to the kitchens. You will have several reasons to get up and take a walk.

Keep things organized

Clean desk, clean mind. Many of us have convinced ourselves during our home office that any mess can distract us while we work and that we run away from emails to clean up. However, the same thing can happen in the office if you have several coffee mugs on your desk, a ton of papers, and shipping boxes on the floor. Dedicate a few minutes a day to cleaning and organize your desk so that nothing distracts you.

Additionally, organize your to-do list. Try to sit down at the end of the day and write down what you need to do tomorrow, don't forget to include events with family, friends or the WorkLounge community.

Make your office cozy

There is no one-size-fits-all approach to office layout, design or functionality. That's why our offices are equipped simply, but contain everything you need - a table, a chair, a lamp and a lockable cabinet. You can then customize the position of the table and other things individually, according to the needs of your work. Personalizing your space can increase your motivation to complete work tasks. Add something personal to your office - family photos, a desk calendar, a flower, things that inspire and motivate you.

Sit properly

Even something as small as sitting properly can increase your concentration at work. Not to mention, sitting properly is good for your health. Another option is to change your working posture, try standing for a while at our high bar tables in the open space. But the easiest thing you can do is to stretch once in a while.

Be offline

Of course, most of us need the Internet to work and have to "be on the phone". However, keep only the work one on the table. Turn off notifications on social networks or in personal conversations that you don't need while working. Set a time during the day in which you respond to work e-mails and outside of that time, devote yourself to continuous work, undisturbed. Try to follow the same in your free time - turn off notifications from work groups and e-mails and devote yourself fully to your loved ones and hobbies.
